BRMW's Roll Service Division
has manufactured new rolls for
mills throughout the United States.

BATON ROUGE MACHINE WORKS’ large inventory of state-of-the-art tooling and CNC capabilities allow for quick turnarounds on critical jobs. In addition, our extensive inventory of polycast steel roll shells coupled with CNC machining capabilities, allow for quick responses to our customer’s needs.

BRMW’s Roll Shop has a variety of heavy-duty machinery capable of both manufacturing and repairing almost any type of roll shell or journal. Below is a list of more specialized capabilities that BRMW’s Roll Shop is proud to offer:

• Roll repair and balancing of types: vin, nip, felt, wet felt, dryer felt, breast, king, queen, granite, suction, couch, wire turning, spiral paper, rider, slitter, press, chill iron, PV, and holy rolls.
• Manufacturing and repair of Steel Rolls, Dryer Felt Rolls, Wet Felt Rolls, Spiral Paper Rolls and Winder Lead-In Rolls.
• Six Over-head cranes with a capacity of up to 40 Tons.
• Inventory stock parts including heads for 24”, 27” & 31-1/2” reel spools as well as heads for 14”, 16” & 18” felts and various Beloit style reel spool components.
• Repair all types of Journals including: Taper Journals, Electric Motor Journals, and Chill Iron Journals.
• Manufacture and repair roll bearing housings; bearing caps, drive couplings and decker cylinders.
• Calendar Roll modifications to new bolt-on style Journals.
• Repair of grinder shafts, housings, sidewalls and nuts.
• Arc Spraying using: Aluminum Bronze, 80/20 Nickel Chrome, Stainless Steel, Ultra-Hard Armacor Wire, Chrome-Carbide Wire, CA24 Cast Iron and Babbit.
• Alternate source parts and new parts built to OEM specification.
